The invention concerns a coated security sheet comprising security elements, having high print rendering and resistance to circulation, characterised in that at least one of its surfaces is coated with a transparent or translucent layer comprising at least a colloidal silica and at least a transparent or translucent elastomeric binder, said binder being in particular polyurethane. The invention also concerns the method for making said sheet and a banknote obtained from said sheet.

L'invention concerne une feuille de sécurité couchée comportant des éléments de sécurité, ayant un rendu d'impression et une résistance à la circulation élevés qui se caractérise par le fait qu'au moins l'une de ses faces est revêtue d'une couche transparente ou translucide comprenant au moins une silice colloïdale et au moins un liant élastomère transparent ou translucide. En particulier, le liant est un polyuréthane. Elle concerne aussi le procédé de fabrication de ladite feuille ainsi qu'un billet de banque obtenu à partir de cette feuille.
