The present invention provides a security system comprising a plurality of alarm equipped security units usable at discrete locations and operated by individual power sources at those discrete locations. The units are interconnected and alarm linked with one another with the system being set up such that disruption of the interconnection between units at any location in the system causes alarm operation at all of the alarm linked security units.
