ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A seed drill comprising a frame, storage tanks and coulters and having at least two separate inlets and outlets respectively for two different materials, the outlets positioned one in front of the other as seen in the direction of operative travel, to provide front and rear outlets, with depth guide and pressure rollers arranged behind the coulters, thus the one material being fed to the front outlet, and the other material to the rear outlet, through separate guides within the coulters and in adjustable amounts, for introduction into the soil, and a narrow breakup element having a lower tip, the element being arranged on the side of the coulter facing the direction of operative travel, for the purpose of breaking up the soil and cutting a furrow. Even with heavy soils and the zero tillage method, two materials such as seed and fertilizer may be reliably deposited separately in the soil. Arranged in the vicinity of the rear outlet of each coulter is an extending element projecting downwardly into the furrow, the element being at least somewhat wider than the breakup element, and the lower end of the element terminating above the lower tip of the breakup element. - 1 -
