A seed metering device (10) includes a roller nip beneath a seed reservoir. The reservoir has a first aperture in a floor of the reservoir. The nip is formed by first (56) and second (54) opposed facing nip forming surfaces mounted beneath, and aligned with, the first aperture (16) wherein the first nip (56) forming surface is a radially-outer surface of a soft resilient roller (20). The roller (20) is rotatable by a roller drive in a first rotational direction (A) so as to draw down through the nip (56), by frictional engagement of the seeds in the nip (56) with the surface of the resilient roller, seeds falling through the first aperture (16) into the nip. The nip (56) is an elongate, curved, thin wedge-shaped nip providing an increased dwell time for seeds being compressed in the nip.
L'invention concerne un doseur de graines (10) présentant un espacement en dessous d'un réservoir à graines. Ce réservoir présente une première ouverture dans un fond du réservoir. Cet espacement est formé par des première (56) et seconde (54) surfaces opposées situées en dessous de l'ouverture et alignées avec cette première ouverture (16). La première surface (56) formant l'espacement est une surface radialement extérieure d'un rouleau résilient souple (20). Ce rouleau (20) peut être mise en rotation par une commande de rouleau dans un premier sens rotationnel (A), de manière à être attiré vers le bas à travers l'espacement (56), par engagement frictionnel des graines dans l'espacement (56) avec la surface du rouleau résilient, les graines tombant à travers la première ouverture (16) dans ledit espacement. Cet espacement (56), de forme allongée, incurvée et à coins amincis, augmente le temps de passage des graines, lesdites graines étant comprimées dans cet espacement.
