A B S T R A C T A lawn seed composition and process for preparing same is described which provides an improved means for applying and germinating lawn seeds on ground soil, while inhibiting seed destruction by birds and the germination of weed seeds infected into the composition from the air. The resulting germination is an economical lawn sod of improved quality.
