A planter or seeder in which the sowing elements are caused to move laterally as the seeder is drawn rectilinearly over the field so that the rows defined by the sowing elements or blades have an undulating or sinusoidal pattern. The sowing blades may be like casters or tailwheels which are caused to swivel from side to side.
