ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of making at least part of a sieve screen for use in a screening machine for dewatering, grading ad the like, includes the step of interlocking a plurality of sieve elements with complementary formations of adjacent elements engaging. The elements are interlocked by an elongate member extending in a channel through the engaged formations and the interlocking member may be secured in place by a settable material such as a liquid polymer introduced into the channel defined by the engaged formations. The complementary formations may be such that a substantially smooth continuous surface is provided for the joint between the elements. A number of such sieve screen parts may be coupled together, for example by rods or wires, to form a complete sieve screen for assembly onto the usual support frame of the screening machine, say utilising the existing clamping and/or tensioning arrangements.
