ABSTRACT This invention relates to hollow shell structures, such as timber domes, used for storage of bulk materials. More particularly, the invention relates to demountable shell-type buildings constructed of prefabricated panels. The panels meet at a peak, forming a hollow, free-standing shell structures suited for storage of bulk materials. A combination concrete foundation ring and retaining wall is provided which increases the storage area within the dome.
