It is advised by infant formula manufacturers that pre-mixed formula be refrigerated until it is used. This poses a problem when refrigeration may not be possible. This invention, among other advantages, virtually eliminates the need for refrigeration of pre-mixed powdered formula, particularly while travelling or commuting. This bottle is used for both mixing formula as well as infant feeding and consists of 7 parts, two of which are separate but connected by an apparatus. This apparatus when closed and "locked" keeps two compartments and their contents separate using a water- tight seal. This apparatus, when opened, or "unlocked," allows for the flow of a pre- measured amount of infant formula into the main body of the bottle and subsequent mixing with sterilized water.
