The present invention provides a method and apparatus of acquiring and processing seismic data. One or more controllers (106) are each coupled to seismic sensors (108) and to each other to form a network of data acquisition units. A main controller (102) is coupled to a crossline unit (104) via a cable (112) comprising a synchronizing conductor and one or more power/data conductors. Commands and data are packaged such that multiple routings are possible without affecting final calculations. Each crossline unit is capable of accepting a fiber optic input, a wire input or a combination.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'acquisition et de traitement de données sismiques. Un ou plusieurs dispositifs de commande sont individuellement couplés à des capteurs sismiques et entre eux pour former un réseau d'unités d'acquisition de données. Un dispositif de commande principal est couplé à une unité de ligne transversale via un câble comprenant un conducteur de synchronisation et un ou plusieurs conducteurs de puissance/données. Les commandes et les données conditionnées de sorte que plusieurs acheminements soient possibles sans affecter les calculs finaux. Chaque unité de ligne transversale est capable d'accepter une entrée de fibre optique, une entrée de câble ou une combinaison de ces dernières.
