A link, called an X-Link~ and is placed in a message (SMS, MMS, email etc) that is sent to a user and displayed on their device (e.g. mobile telephone). When the link is selecte'd by the user, it connects the user's device to a conversion system, enabling the user to speak a reply which is then converted to a text based reply message; the reply message is then sent to the original message sender (and/or another appropriate recipient). This approach enables a text message to be responded to by voice: it is an example of an asymmetric communication. There are many circumstances where this approach is very useful - for example if the message is a SMS and the recipient does not know how to respond using SMS, or is in an environment where it is difficult (perhaps when walking or driving).
La présente invention concerne un lien désigné X-Link~ qui est placé dans un message (SMS, MMS, courrier électronique, etc) envoyé à un utilisateur et affiché sur son dispositif (par ex. un téléphone mobile). Lorsque le lien est sélectionné par l'utilisateur, il connecte le dispositif de l'utilisateur à un système de conversion permettant à l'utilisateur de dicter une réponse qui est ensuite convertie sous forme de message de réponse à base de texte, puis le message de réponse est envoyé à l'expéditeur du message d'origine (et/ou un autre destinataire approprié). Cette approche permet de répondre à un message textuel par un message vocal et constitue un exemple de communication asymétrique. Il existe de nombreuses circonstances dans lesquelles cette approche est très utile, par exemple si le message est un SMS et que le destinataire ne sait pas comment répondre avec un SMS ou qu'il se trouve dans un environnement dans lequel cette opération s'avère difficile (peut être lorsqu'il marche ou qu'il conduit).
