The compound represented by the formula; (see fig. I) [wherein R1 stands for hydrogen, methoxy or trifluoromethyl; R2 and R3, being the same as or different from each other, stand for hydrogen or methyl; R4 stands for optionally substituted hydrocarbon residue; and n denotes 0 or 1] or a salt thereof show excellent antibacterial activities, against the genus Campylobacter, especially against Campylobacter pylori, and they are used for preventing or treating infectious diseases caused by the said bacteria.

I) - où R1 représente de l'hydrogène, un méthoxy ou un trifluorométhyle; R2 et R3 sont identiques ou différents, représentant chacun un hydrogène ou un méthyle; R4 représente un radical hydrocarboné avec, facultativement, substitution; n est 0 ou 1 - ou sel de ce composé, possédant d'excellentes activités antibactériennes, notamment contre le genre Campylobacter, et surtout contre Campylobacter pylori; ils sont employés pour prévenir ou traiter les maladies infectieuses, causées par ces bactéries.
