Abstract: A process for the production of the internal isomers (3-phenyl, 4-phenyl and higher) from linear phenylalkane mixtures via selective cracking of the 2-phenylalkane isomer over crystalline zeolite catalysts having a silica to alumina ratio of at least about 12 and a constraint index, as herein defined, of about 1 to 12, is described.
