Process for cycloalkylating naphtaline with at least one cyclic group characterized by the following points: a) a faujasite-structure zeolite with pore opening greater than 6,7 Å is used as a catalyst, the alumina-silica ratio of said zeolite being greater than 2,5 and its residual level in alkaline ion(s) being less than 3%; b) the reaction is effected discontinuously in a liquid/solid heterogenous phase at a temperature of between 20 °C and 250 °C, under a maximum pressure equal to 30 bars. Dicyclohexyl-2,6 naphthalene is a cycloalkylaned naphthalene obtained using this process.

Procédé pour cycloalkyler le naphtalène avec au moine un groupe cyclique caractérisé par les points suivants : a) on utilise comme catalyseur une zéolithe de structure faujasite ayant des ouvertures de pores supérieures à 6,7 A, le rapport silice/alumine de cette zéolithe étant supérieur à 2,5 et son taux résiduel en ion(s) alcalins(s) étant inférieur à 3 %; b) la réaction est effectuée en discontinu en phase hétérogène liquide/solide à une température comprise entre 20°C et 250°C, sous une pression au plus égale à 30 bars. Naphtalènes cycloalkylés obtenus par ce procédé, notamment le dicyclohexyl - 2,6 naphtalène.
