Preparation of selectively dealuminated zeolites of structure type MOR by loading the zeolite with a univalent metal followed by treatment with steam. The dealuminated zeolites subsequently converted to the hydrogen form and/or loaded with metals are suitable for use as catalysts in carbonylation processes to produce acetic acid and/or methyl acetate.

L'invention porte sur la préparation de zéolites sélectivement désaluminisées présentant une structure de type MOR par chargement d'un métal monovalent sur la zéolite, suivi par un traitement avec de la vapeur d'eau. Les zéolites désaluminisées converties par la suite en forme hydrogénée et/ou chargées de métaux sont appropriées pour être utilisées comme catalyseurs dans des procédés de carbonylation pour produire de l'acide acétique et/ou de l'acétate de méthyle.
