An improved process for heavy oil conversion and upgrading and a combined method for heavy oil conversion and vacuum gas-oil treatment are described herein. The method utilizes the creation and recycle of a separate product from the vacuum still, which is thereafter recycled back to the heavy oil conversion reactor. The result is the production of a higher quality medium gas oil product relative to the overall vacuum gas oil product which is acceptable for use in a typical vacuum gas oil treatment process. Additionally, there is a higher diesel yield selectivity from the heavy oil conversion unit.
Linvention concerne un procédé amélioré de conversion et de valorisation de pétrole lourd, et une méthode combinée de conversion de pétrole lourd et de traitement de gazole sous vide. La méthode met en uvre la création et le recyclage d'un produit séparé provenant du distillateur sous vide, produit qui est ensuite retourné dans le réacteur de conversion de pétrole lourd pour recyclage. Le résultat en est la production d'un produit de gazole moyen de qualité supérieure relativement au produit total de gazole sous vide, d'utilisation acceptable dans un procédé typique de traitement de gazole sous vide. En outre, la cuve de conversion du pétrole lourd offre une sélectivité de rendement du diesel supérieure.
