A gasoline blending fraction rich in isooctane is produced in a reactor (5) by the dimerization of isobutylene using tertiary butyl alcohol modifier and lower alkane diluent. Advantageously, the isobutylene is produced by dehydrating tertiary butyl alcohol in a dehydration zone (2).
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à la production d'une fraction de carburant riche en isooctane, dans un réacteur (5), par dimérisation d'isobutylène en utilisant de l'alcool tertiobutylique comme agent de transformation et un alcane inférieur comme agent de dilution. De manière avantageuse, l'isobutylène provient de la déshydratation de l'alcool tertiobutylique, réalisée dans une zone de déshydratation (2).
