19 A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a self-adhesive laminate formable to toenails and/or fingernails and consisting of a) a film-forming polymeric layer containing at least one plasticizer, b) a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer located theron, c) a removable carrier sheet covering the adhesive layer, which laminate is characterized in that at least the entire area of the film-forming polymeric layer a) is covered on the other side with d) a likewise removable protective layer being resistant to the other components of the laminate and to the materials used in the production of the laminate. The invention further relates to a process for the produc- tion of said laminate and the use thereof as artificial nails for application to toenails or fingernails.
