A pierce nut having a central pilot, a cylindrical flange portion surrounding the pilot and a groove in the flange portion having at least one inclined side wall and a bottom wall having a convex annular protuberance preferably comprising spaced arcuate protuberances extending around the pilot which deforms panel metal beneath the inclined side wall and providing anti-rotation means when the nut is attached to a metal panel. The outer groove side wall includes radial notches or grooves which receive panel metal to provide anti-torque means. The improved die button includes an annular lip having an inside piercing edge spaced from the end to pierce a smaller slug and an annular convex fillet which deforms more panel metal into the nut groove to form a secure mechanical interlock between the nut and panel.
Écrou de montage avec guide central entouré d'une collerette cylindrique pourvue d'une rainure et d'au moins une paroi latérale inclinée et d'une paroi inférieure présentant une protubérance annulaire de forme convexe et, de préférence, des protubérances de forme courbe régulièrement espacées autour du guide et servant à déformer la partie du panneau de métal se trouvant sous la paroi latérale inclinée et dont la configuration interdit toute rotation de l'écrou par rapport au panneau. La paroi extérieure comporte des crans radiaux servant de dispositif anti-couple. Le bouton amélioré comporte une lèvre annulaire dotée d'un bord taraudeur disposé à une certaine distance de l'extrémité et servant à percer un plus petit trou et un filet annulaire convexe qui produit la déformation d'une certaine quantité de métal et l'entraîne vers l'intérieur de la rainure pratiquée dans l'écrou et assurer un assemblage mécanique indéserrable entre panneau et l'écrou.
