An automatic system for draining the water out of a boat, consisting of a rigid tube clamped in a vertical position to the anti-cavitation plate on an outboard motor or outdrive. The discharge end of the tube sits below water level behind the propeller. A flexible tube is connected to the infeed end of the rigid tube and it is connected to the discharge end of a pressure release valve that is clamped to the transom. A flexible tube is connected to the infeed end of the pressure release valve and the infeed end of this tube sits on the interior bottom of the boat. When the boat is in forward operation, the rapid flow of water generated by the action of the propeller reduces the pressure of the water outside the tube (Bernoulli's Law) and the since the water in the tube is at a higher pressure, it flows out the discharge end, drawing water out of the boat. This may also be refered to as a venturi effect. The pressure release valve prevents water from being siphoned back into the boat when the boat is not in forward operation.
