ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A self-bonding one-component room temperature vulcanizable silicone rubber composition is provided which will adhere to various plastic, metal, cellulosic and masonry substrates without use of a primer. The composition consists of a silanol-terminated diorganopolysiloxane base polymer, a filler, a crosslinking agent selected from carboxyl functional silanes and hydrocarbonoxy functional silanes, a curing catalyst, and as a self-bonding additive a silyl maleate or a silyl fumarate or a silyl succinate. In place of the silane self-bonding additive there may be utilized as a self-bonding additive a maleate functional polysiloxane, a fumarate functional polysiloxane or a succinate functional polysiloxane.
