SELF-CHARGING AIR CLEANER MAINTENANCE DETECTOR Abstract of the Disclosure Method and apparatus for determining and indicating the functionality of a tribo-electric air cleaner are disclosed. The method includes providing a tribo-electric device to clean air and generating an alarm when the tribo-electric device functionality level falls below a predetermined level. The appara- tus includes a pressure sensor to determine when the functionality of the tribo-electric cleaner is lost and to activate a sensible alarm.
