SELF-CLEANING AQUACULTURE TANK AND METHOD OF CLEANING AQUACULTURE TANKS ABSTRACT A self-cleaning aquaculture tank has as the sole means of purifying the water in the tank, an extractor below the level of the water surface and an injector for recycling the extracted water with an emulsion of finely dispersed air bubbles therein. The air bubbles are allowed to rise to the surface travelling in a direction towards a skimming weir to remove the surface film of water for separation of impurities from the surface water.
