A hair brush includes a body, a cushion pad, and a plurality of bristles. The body includes at least a partial cavity at a first end, and the cavity includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a plurality of apertures. A cushion pad having a first surface is disposed near the front portion of the cavity when the hair is in a user position, and is disposed near a second surface located near the rear portion of the cavity when the hair brush is in a cleaning position. The plurality of bristles are disposed on the cushion pad, and have a first end that bristles extend substantially perpendicular from the first surface of the cushion pad through the apertures in the front portion of the body.
