A self-cleaning pet litter box assembly (10) for separation and removal of clumped material from clean litter material includes an open-top pet litter container (12) for holding litter and being mounted for rotation on a substantially horizontal plane, a conveyor (15) having an axis and an exit end (35), being positioned to extend into the container (12) to contact litter within the container (12) and rotating about the axis so as to separate clumped material from clean litter material and direct the separated-out clumped material away toward the exit end (35), and a drive mechanism (13) operatively connected to at least one of the container (12) and the conveyor (15) to rotate the container (12).
L'invention concerne un ensemble bac à litière auto-nettoyant (10) pour animaux domestiques, permettant de séparer et de retirer la litière agglomérée de la litière propre. Cet ensemble comprend un conteneur à litière à toit ouvert (12) destiné à contenir la litière et monté de manière à pouvoir être entraîné en rotation sur un plan sensiblement horizontal, un convoyeur (15) pourvu d'un axe et d'une extrémité de sortie (35), placé de manière à s'étendre dans le conteneur (12) afin d'être en contact avec la litière contenue dans ledit conteneur (12) et pouvant tourner autour de l'axe pour séparer la litière agglomérée de la litière propre et diriger la litière agglomérée séparée vers l'extrémité de sortie (35), ainsi qu'un mécanisme d'entraînement (13) relié fonctionnellement au conteneur (12) et/ou au convoyeur (15) pour entraîner en rotation ledit conteneur (12).
