A self-cleaning rotary trash harrow comprising a main beam with for attachment to a prime mover to be drawn at right angles to the direction of travel at least one sub-frame fixed to the main beam and extending rearwardly therefrom the or each sub-frame supporting a spiked roller at an angle of between 50~ and 55~ to the direction of travel. The spikes are affixed at locations lying on a helix around the roller, and the angle of the helix to the axis of the roller is between 50~ and 55~. Additionally the angle between the axis of each spike and axis of the roller is between 50~ and 5~, to enable the axis of each spike to be parallel to the direction of travel when the spike passes through the horizontal plane at the trailing edge of the roller.
Herse roulante autonettoyante composée d'une poutre principale permettant de la relier à un élément tracteur de manière à être tirée à angle droit par rapport à la direction de déplacement d'au moins un châssis secondaire fixé à la poutre principale et s'étendant vers l'arrière depuis cette dernière, chaque châssis secondaire supportant un rouleau à pointes formant un angle compris entre 50· et 55· avec la direction de déplacement. Les pointes sont fixées en des points disposés en hélice autour du rouleau, l'angle formé par l'hélice avec l'axe du rouleau étant compris entre 50· et 55·. En outre l'angle entre l'axe de chaque pointe et l'axe du rouleau est également compris entre 50· et 55·, l'axe de chaque pointe étant ainsi parallèle à la direction de déplacement au moment où la pointe traverse le plan horizontal formé par la bord arrière du rouleau.
