The invention relates to a self-closing door provided with a self-closing hinge mechanism, the hinge axis of which is inclined with respect to the vertical. As seen in the closed state of the hinge mechanism, the hinge axis runs substantially parallel to the plane defined by the door, and the hinge axis, as seen from the bottom upwards, slopes towards the door. The angle of the hinge axis with respect to the vertical is preferably less than 3~, such as for example 1~. The invention also relates to a self-closing hinge mechanism.

L'invention concerne une porte à fermeture automatique pourvue d'un mécanisme de charnière à fermeture automatique dont l'axe de charnière est incliné par rapport à la verticale. Lorsque ce mécanisme de charnière se trouve dans un état fermé, l'axe de charnière est sensiblement parallèle au plan défini par la porte. Vu du bas vers le haut, cet axe de charnière est incliné vers la porte. L'angle dudit axe de charnière par rapport à la verticale est de préférence inférieur à 3· (1·, par exemple).
