A method is provided for optimizing ink jet printing system operation. A computer is used for interactive control of an ink jet printing system, and ink jet characteristics are stored in the computer memory. The computer can then access and matrix the stored ink jet characteristics. The matrix is interpreted to optimize operation of the ink jet printing system.

L'invention concerne une méthode permettant d'optimiser le fonctionnement d'un système d'impression par jet d'encre. Un ordinateur commande interactivement le système d'impression en question, et les caractéristiques du jet d'encre sont enregistrées dans la mémoire de l'ordinateur. Ce dernier peut alors accéder aux caractéristiques enregistrées susmentionnées et les constituer en matrice. Cette dernière est ensuite interprétée de façon à optimiser le fonctionnement du système d'impression par jet d'encre.
