SELF-CONTAINED TENT ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A car-top tent assembly comprises a pair of hinged half shells which mate together in suitcase fashion for travelling, one of these half shells being mounted to the vehicle and the other folding out into alignment with the first to form a bed complete with mattress for overnight stops, there being a tent structure secured to the half-shell edges which erects automatically upon opening of the halves.
