A self-inflating protector, in particular umbrella, has an inflatable sheath (11) made of a flexible material. The interior of the sheath (11) is evacuated prior to use and a gaseous substance can be produced therein by means of a chemical reaction, the gaseous substance inflating the interior of the sheath (11). The chemical reaction may consist in soda granules being dissolved by citric acid. The citric acid may be accommodated in a container which is made to rupture by pressure being applied to the outside of the sheath (11) by a user, e.g. at a predetermined breaking point, or by being torn at a predetermined tearing point, the chemical reaction being triggered as a result. A self-inflating balloon can also be produced in this way.
L'invention concerne un écran autogonflable, en particulier un écran contre la pluie, qui présente une enveloppe gonflable (11) en un matériau flexible. L'espace intérieur de l'enveloppe (11) est mis sous vide avant utilisation et une substance gazeuse peut y être créée par une réaction chimique pour gonfler l'espace intérieur de l'enveloppe (11). La réaction chimique peut consister en la dissolution d'un granulé de soude par de l'acide citrique. L'acide citrique peut être contenu dans un récipient qui éclate par une action de poussée exercée de l'extérieur sur l'enveloppe par l'utilisateur, par exemple en un emplacement de rupture préférentielle ou par déchirure d'un emplacement de déchirure préférentielle, de telle sorte que la réaction chimique soit déclenchée. De cette manière, on peut également fabriquer un ballon autogonflable.
