The invention relates to a self-locking osteosynthesis device of the type comprising a plate (1) which is equipped with holes (2) for the passage of fixation screws (3). The invention is characterised in that, at least in the areas (4) defining the screw holes (2), the aforementioned plate (1) is made from a material having mechanical properties such that the periphery of said holes can be self-tapped by means of tapping screws which can be used to fix the plate.

Dispositif d'ostéosynthèse autobloquant du genre comprenant une plaque (1) munie de trous (2) pour le passage de vis de fixation (3), caractérisé en ce que ladite plaque (1) est exécutée, au moins dans les zones (4) délimitant les trous (2) de passage des vis, dans un matériau présentant des propriétés mécaniques autorisant un auto-taraudage du pourtour desdits trous au moyen de vis taraudeuses utilisables pour la fixation de ladite plaque.
