ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a self-blocking effect shock absorbing unit, in particular for the security concerning deterioration of ducts, especially in thermonuclear power stations, comprising a double-acting jack whose piston rod and body are articulated to two supports one of which is rigid with a fixed plan and the other is secured to the assembly to be protected, characterized in that the cylinder is monoblock and completely tight, is closed by a stuffing body, a cross head of substantially cylindrical configuration being mounted displaceable in the cylinder and having in side thereof a chamber comprising a compensation bellows capsule communicating with the outside by way of two valves and nozzles.
