A self-propelled motor vehicle such as a motor cycle, moped and motor scooter has a throttle, brakes and a handle bar. An apron is worn by the operator of the vehicle and a rod is rigidly connected to the apron. The handle bars are pivotally attached to an end of the rod. The rod serves to support the handle bars rigldly in position in front of the operator and is the sole and only means of such support. Bindings are provided so that the operator can attach his footwear to the vehicle.
