The invention relates to a self-propelled ship comprising an on-board electrical supply network (5), a main electrical supply bus (11), propulsion means (3), a motor (4) driving the propulsion means (3), and means for powering them with electricity. According to the invention, the power supply means comprise a set (10) of electric capacitors with a capacitance rated such that when they are at their nominal electrical charge they can at least temporarily fulfil both the nominal power supply means of the on-board power supply network (5) and those of said electric motor (4) via said bus (11) and electrical connection means on board the ship to connect the set (10) of electric capacitors to another electrical supply network situated at a ship arrival and/or departure point so as to recharge the capacitors to their nominal charge and power the first supply network (5) during the stopover at the arrival and/or departure point.
L'invention concerne un de bord, un bus électrique (11) d'alimentation principale, des moyens (3) de propulsion, un moteur (4) d'entraînement des moyens (3) de propulsion, et des moyens pour leur alimentation électrique. Suivant l'invention, les moyens d'alimentation comportent un ensemble (10) de condensateurs électriques ayant une capacité dimensionnée pour assurer à leur charge électrique nominale d'une manière au moins temporaire à la fois l'alimentation nominale du réseau (5) de bord et dudit moteur électrique (4) par l'intermédiaire dudit bus (11), et des moyens (25) de connexion électrique agencés à bord du navire pour connecter l'ensemble (10) de condensateurs électriques à un autre réseau électrique situé en un point d'arrivée et/ou de départ du navire, en vue de recharger les condensateurs à leur charge nominale et d'alimenter le premier réseau (5) durant l'arrêt au point d'arrivée et/ou de départ.
