The invention relates to a self-propelling vehicle which first, and possibly with the aid of a driver, drives along a selected route from a starting point to a destination, whereby the vehicle receives position signals from a positioning system and stores said signals in a data memory. The vehicle first receives an associated current position signal from the positioning system and at a point of departure when the vehicle subsequently and automatically drives along exactly the same selected route. Said signal is compared to the position of the starting point. If the positions do not match, the evaluation device calculates the direction towards and the distance to the starting point, whereupon the vehicle drives along this route. The direction and the distance to the next stored position are subsequently calculated using successively received current position data. The vehicle drives along the corresponding route. The vehicle can drive along a predetermined route inside a building when a local positioning system is used.
L'invention concerne un véhicule automoteur qui parcourt tout d'abord éventuellement une section sélectionnée entre un lieu de départ et une destination, avec l'aide d'une personne-guide. Le véhicule reçoit des signaux de position provenant d'un système de positionnement et stocke lesdits signaux dans une mémoire de données. Lorsque le véhicule parcourt ultérieurement de manière automatique la section sélectionnée, il reçoit d'abord en un point de départ, un signal de position présent correspondant, de la part du système de positionnement, qui est comparé à la position du lieu de départ. Si ces positions ne coïncident pas, le dispositif d'évaluation calcule la direction dans laquelle se trouve le lieu de départ et la distance qui le sépare de la position du véhicule, à la suite de quoi la section correspondante est parcourue. Sur la base des données de position présentes reçues, la direction dans laquelle se trouve la prochaine position mémorisée et la distance qui la sépare du véhicule sont alors calculées chacune et la section correspondante est parcourue. En cas d'utilisation d'un système de positionnement local, le véhicule peut également suivre une distance prédéfinie à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment.
