ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In this self-rolling blind the locking ratchet system (8,9) is installed at one end of the blind shaft (1). At the other end of the blind shaft (1) there is a cord drum (10). One end of the cord is secured to the cord drum and as much cord is wound onto the drum (10) as corresponds to the total extended length of the blind material. The cord (13) is then passed from the cord drum (10) down to operating height. This results in simple, one-handed operation of the blind and ensures that no cord is left hanging in front of the window.
