A generic self-steering system wherein the drive connection between a servo-pendulum rudder and an auxiliary rudder comprises a toothed bevel gear or a similar joint-free angular drive connection. The drive member or, preferably, the driven member, of the clutch device is or becomes secured in place in both positions. The drive member or the driven member is preferably in the form of a rocker that can be pivoted about its rocker axis between the working position, that is to say the engaged state, and the resting position, that is to say the disengaged state.

Système autodirecteur générique dans lequel l'accouplement d'entraînement entre le gouvernail à servo-pendule et un gouvernail auxiliaire est constitué d'un engrenage conique ou autre accouplement d'entraînement angulaire semblable sans joint. L'élément d'entraînement ou, de préférence l'élément entraîné du dispositif d'embrayage, est ou devient assujetti en place dans les deux positions. L'élément d'entraînement ou l'élément entraîné est de préférence sous forme d'un basculeur qu'on peut faire basculer autour de son axe entre la position de travail, c'est-à-dire quand il est en prise, et la position de repos, c'est-à-dire quand il n'est pas en prise.
