ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A selfsupporting, compound, structural plate for double ceilings, covers, roofs, and similar structures which includes a shell, serving as an external reinforcement and made of a material having high tensile strength and high modulus of elasticity, preferably a steel plate. A filling material, having low tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity, e.g., anhydrite is placed into the hollow space of the shell, whereby the shell is provided with shear anchors-on its bottom, preferably in the form of funnel- shaped punctures. The shell, at any of its size, is composed of strip-shaped profile parts and, in the form of bending- resistent webs or ribs, accumulations of the high tensile strength material are provided on the lower part of the bottom of the shell which are running parallel and vertically, or almost vertically, downward.
