A detonation coating apparatus that coats a substrate with a coating powder which is propelled by the products of a detonation. The present invention increases the rate at which the coating is applied by increasing the detonation rate of the combustible gas mixture. The detonation coating apparatus is a self-detonating apparatus designed to create a secondary pressure within a combustion chamber. This secondary pressure combines with an initiating element, which is heated by detonation to a temperature, to ignite the combustible gas mixtures as rapidly as the secondary pressure originates.
L'invention concerne un appareil de revêtement par détonation. Cet appareil permet de recouvrir un substrat avec une poudre de revêtement qui est propulsée par les produits de détonation. La présente invention augmente la vitesse d'application du revêtement en augmentant la vitesse de détonation du mélange de gaz combustible. L'appareil de revêtement par détonation est un appareil à détonation automatique conçu pour créer une pression secondaire à l'intérieur d'une chambre de combustion. Cette pression secondaire se combine avec un élément initiateur qui est chauffé par la détonation jusqu'à une certaine température pour allumer le mélange de gaz à la vitesse à laquelle la pression secondaire est créée.
