A thread-cutting screwed dowel (1) has an essentially cylindrical, sleevelike dowel body (2) with an axial bore (3) and with load engagement means (4) disposed in the interior of the dowel body, for example with a female thread. On its outer face (5), the dowel body (2) is equipped with at least one cutting edge (6), which extends helically along a majority of the outer face (5) of the dowel body (2) and protrudes radially past it. The helical cutting edge is embodied as a primary cutting edge (6) and wraps around the dowel body (2) over its length in at least three windings. Besides the load engagement means (4), engagement means (8, 81) for transmitting a torque are provided in the interior of the dowel body (2).

L'invention concerne une cheville de vissage (1) servant à tarauder. La cheville selon l'invention présente un corps de cheville (2) essentiellement cylindrique en forme de douille, comportant un perçage axial (3) et des moyens d'applications des charges (4) disposés à l'intérieur du corps de cheville, ladite cheville portant par exemple un filet intérieur. Sur sa surface extérieure (5), le corps de cheville (2) comporte au moins une arête tranchante (6) s'étendant de manière hélicoïdale, en saillie radiale, sur l'essentiel de la surface extérieure (5) du corps de cheville (2). Cette arête hélicoïdale est conçue en tant qu'arête principale (6) et s'enroule dans son extension longitudinale autour du corps de cheville (2) sur au moins trois tours. En plus des moyens d'applications des charges (4), l'intérieur du corps de cheville (2) comporte des moyens de prise (8, 81) destinés à la transmission du couple.
