CHAMBLEY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Group of singles yarns are false-twisted, brought together node locked and plied to form plied strands. Additional torque in the plying direction is applied beyond the equilibrium point to add twist to the plied strands. Jet devices using air or steam can be used to apply the additional torque.
