A method of screening a Sema6C agonist or antagonist by using plexin A1; a screening tool for this screening, etc. A case wherein a protein having the extracellular domain of plexin A1 is brought into contact with a recombinant protein having the extracellular domain of semaphorin 6c is compared with another case wherein a protein having the extracellular domain of plexin A1 is brought into contact with a test substance optionally together with a recombinant protein having the extracellular domain of semaphorin 6c. Evaluation is made by comparing the binding of the protein having the extracellular domain of semaphorin 6C to the protein having the extracellular domain of plexin A1, the growth cone retracting activity of plexin A1- expressing cells, or the contracting activity of plexin A1-expressing cells.

La présente invention concerne une méthode de criblage de l'agoniste ou de l'antagoniste de Sema 6C utilisant du plexine A1; un outil de criblage utilisé pour cette opération de criblage, etc. Le cas dans lequel une protéine présentant le domaine extracellulaire de plexine A1 est mise en contact avec la protéine recombinée présentant le domaine extracellulaire de sémaphorine 6c, est comparé à un autre cas dans lequel une protéine présentant le domaine extracellulaire de plexine A1 est mise en contact avec une substance de test, éventuellement avec une protéine recombinée présentant le domaine extracellulaire de sémaphorine 6c. On effectue une évaluation en comparant la liaison de la protéine présentant le domaine extracellulaire de sémaphorine 6c à la protéine présentant le domaine extracellulaire de plexine A1, l'activité de rétraction du cône de croissance des cellules de plexine exprimant A1, ou l'activité de contraction des cellules de plexine exprimant A1.
