ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A semi-submersible vessel has at least one module of annular shape when viewed in cross section formed by a sealed closed chamber. The module is provided with means for varying the ballast at the lower portion of the chamber, and the lower portion of the vessel is formed by the closed chamber having the form of a hemispherical dome. A support structure secured to the chamber is partially immersible in use, and a horizontal deck is carried by the upper portion of the support structure.
