The synthesis of new semi-synthetic glycosaminoglycans with heparin or heparan structure of .alpha.-L-iduronic-2-O- sulfate acid modified in position 2 is described in which the sulfate group is, entirely or in part, substituted with a nucleophilic radical. These new semi-synthetic glycosaminoglycans of general formula Image Image Image have good pharmaceutical properties in that they may also be absorbed orally and have good anti-thrombotic activity accompanied by low risk of haemorrhage and reduced anti-coagulating activity.

Description de la synthèse de nouveaux glycosaminoglycanes semi-synthétiques, à structure d'héparine ou d'héparane, d'acide alpha-L-iduronique 2-O-sulfaté, modifié en position 2, dans laquelle le groupe sulfate est entièrement ou en partie avec substitution par un radical nucléophile. Ces nouveaux glycosaminoglycanes semi-synthétiques de formule générale Image Image Image possèdent de bonnes propriétés pharmaceutiques, car ils peuvent être absorbés par voie orale et ont une activité antithrombotiques marquée, avec un faible risque d'hémorragie et une activité anti-coagulante réduite.
