A semiconductor integrated circuit has a plurality of areas of an n-type on a p-type basic plate, with a p-type resistance area connected to the n-type area. To avoid the thyristor phenomenon and latching up, the base of the parasitic PNP transistor constituting the thyristor is connected to the emitter of such transistor.
