A device designed to sense and indicate the status - locked, unlocked open closed of a or latch operated by rotating by rotating a lever or knob, specifically a deadbolt or nightlatch, but used as retrofit (but not restricted to that) to an already manufactured and installed locked or latch, consists consist of an electric battery power source, tilt sensor switch and signalling circuit. Proper installation of the device on the lock or latch actuator with same in the locked or closed position, the signalling circuit is open and not active. The position sensor incorporated in the device will sense the change of status to unlocked or open by monitoring the position of said actuator and activate the indicator circuit, thus signalling interested humans visually , audibly and or electronically that a lock or latch is unlocked or open.
