A method and apparatus for mounting an acoustic emitter or detector or other sensor apparatus with respect to mounting structure therefor so as to be isolated at least partially with respect thereto from the transmission of acoustic and/or electrical energy. The mounting provides a non-elastomeric snap-together bushing formed of a plastics material which accurately positionally locates the sensor or emitter with respect to its mounting while providing an unexpectedly high degree of isolation with respect to transmission of acoustic and other energy forms through the mounting.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de monter un émetteur acoustique ou un détecteur ou tout autre appareil détecteur par rapport à une structure d'assemblage correspondante, de manière à être isolé au moins partiellement de la transmission de l'énergie acoustique et/ou électrique. Le montage produit une traversée non élastomère constituée en matière plastique qui localise précisément sur le plan de l'emplacement le détecteur ou l'émetteur par rapport à son montage tandis qu'il produit un degré élevé d'isolation inattendu par rapport à la transmission acoustique et d'autres formes d'énergie à travers le montage.
