ABSTRACT: Sensor for determining the oxygen content in a gas. A sensor for determining the oxygen content of a gas, the sensor consisting of a lozenge of stabilised bismuth trioxide provided on both sides with electrode coatings. The resistance between the electrode coatings is an oxygen partial pressure-dependent quantity. The lozenge is immersed entirely in the gas to be analysed; the necessity of a reference gas is absent.
