The present invention relates to a sensor system (1) for determining a physical, measured variable, and includes a sensor (2) and a control/evaluation unit (3), which are spatially separated from one another and electrically conductively connected via a cable (4) having at least two conductors (5, 6), wherein provided in the sensor are a temperature measuring element (7) for determining temperature (8) and a sensor identifier (8) for sensor identification. The invention includes that the control/evaluation unit (3) drives the temperature measuring element (7) and the sensor identifier (8) via a shared conductor 5 with a positive voltage (9) or a negative voltage (10), and, depending on the applied voltage (9, 10), reads a temperature measured value of the temperature element (7) or an identifying value of the sensor identifier (8).
