The invention relates to a new virus, designated H101.c33 or Sentinel Virus II (SVII). Isolated SVII viruses, polynucleotides and proteins from SVII viruses, and antibodies which bind SVII virus and SVII viral proteins are provided. The polynucleotides, proteins, and antibodies of the invention may be used to detect SVII virus or infection by SVII virus in a susceptible individual. Additionally, polynucleotides of the invention may be inserted into recombinant expression vectors for recombinant production of viral proteins.

L'invention concerne un nouveau virus, dénommé H101.c33 ou virus sentinelle II (SVII). L'invention concerne également des virus SVII isolés, des polynucléotides et des protéines provenant de SVII, des anticorps qui se lient au virus SVII et des protéines virales de SVII. Les polynucléotides, les protéines et les anticorps de l'invention peuvent être utilisés pour détecter un virus SVII ou une infection par ce dernier chez un individu sensible. Les polynucléotides de la présente invention peuvent, en outre, s'introduirent dans des vecteurs d'expression recombinants pour une production recombinante de protéines virales.
